Le Lin 林樂 is a trans Teochew-Canadian multi-disciplinary artist, activist, and researcher based in Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal. His art practice is oriented towards fuelling experiences of joy, empathy, and connection, and informed by thoughts and ideas that are authentic to his diasporic experience. These include gender, racialization, queerness, language, and identity. He is a firm believer in mobilizing art as a tool of resistance, instigating acts of vulnerability, and channels to uplift one another. He often works with Chinese typography, calligraphy, illustration, mixed media, and various printmaking techniques (silk-screen, risograph, letterpress, offset, intaglio, and woodcut). Most of his recent works have been silk-screen or risograph-printed artist books and prints, always pushing the boundaries of traditional books. He wants his work to inspire revelatory experiences in his audience.

November

Corbo was made in France and built in Canada, where he has been currently running around in the small village of Montreal. In 2022, he left the brutal world of concrete and striped ties to launch full-time into the world of flowery landscapes and colored pencils. Fond of play on words, he likes to juggle with the dictionary and mix expressions to the rhythm of his brushes in order to put a delicate smile and lightness on your face.

February

Mirella is an Illustrator originally from Brazil who lives and breathes nature. Her paintings are all inspired by nature, its unmatching power, organic curves and unique beauty. She believes that by making art about nature, people will be reminded of it and feel more connected to our roots, having the urge to protect it and adore it like a religion. She takes commissions and produces her own body of work with products ranging from original paintings in watercolour, gouache or digital to stationary items such as cards, postcards, prints and stickers, all designed by the artist.
